Do we give thanks to God in all circumstances? Does our gratefulness go beyond reflection of past blessing, to forward hope? Are we willing to praise in times of trouble? God’s peace is meant to judge and subdue our heart, to overrule our own desires and anxieties, and foster true praise in all things. Thankfulness is the first step toward submitting to His rule, as we look and rely upon Him.
