We review the words of Peter to the suffering church. Peter challenges Christians to stay submitted and faithful to God through trials, looking forward to the eternal rewards God offers to those who live for Him and obey Him.
Through it all, Peter points towards Christ’s coming, and the kingdom He will usher in. In the same way, we look to the humility Christ showed at His first coming. Christ showed us that though suffering may come, there is a reward and result far greater after it all.
