The transformation and renewal of our minds takes time, like renovating a house or starting a garden from the ground up. |
Text: Romans 12:1-2
1Therefore, I urge you, brothers and sisters, in view of God’s mercy, to offer your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and pleasing to God—this is your true and proper worship. 2Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is —his good, pleasing and perfect will.
Emily, is this the project that you and your neighbors have been working on? One of my thoughts was that if someone who is not familiar with you and the aforementioned project sees this picture on the internet with the scripture written under it they may be as I was a little confused. Maybe you could write a statement related to the project to explain the pictures. Unless I am not making the connection between the picture and the scripture. Just a thought.
Brian was talking about how our transformation is not done in a single day, but is more like the process of renovating a home. I was looking for an image that conveys some of that “before and after” and growth that our transformation should exhibit. Since I didn’t have a laptop with me, I had to slip in to the AV computer to get this up. I’ll add a caption to the images now. 🙂
